
Dr. Hipolito is a board-certified psychiatrist who provides both individual psychotherapy and medication management in a warm, supportive environment. With a deep commitment to whole-person care, he helps individuals navigate anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and life transitions with a thoughtful and personalized approach.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, earning a B.A. in Psychology with Honors and a B.S. in Biological Sciences, followed by his medical degree at New York Medical College, where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society. His psychiatric residency training at UCSF allowed him to work with diverse populations at Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute, SF VA Medical Center, and SF General Hospital.
Dr. Hipolito specializes in open-ended psychotherapy and has advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from UCSF and the SF Center for Psychoanalysis. He has a passion for working with individuals from all backgrounds, with specialized experience in LGBTQ+ mental health, HIV psychiatry, and group therapy for gay men, veterans and people in recovery. His research in sports psychiatry has explored the role of mood and motivation in marathon runners.
